ABC Launches Australian Mobile Election Coverage

Australian public broadcaster ABC will launch a downloadable java application dubbed Australia Votes 2007 which will cover the upcoming Australian Federal Election (on November 24). The application will cover election news, an opinion piece of the day, details of each electorate, Antony Green‘s analysis, as well as general news and a two day weather forecast. Election night will see up to the minute results for any electorate selected and the state of the nation reports the SMH. The service is free except for data charges.
