AT&T To Subsidize The 3G iPhone By $200?

By James Quintana Pearce - Tue 29 Apr 2008 05:13 PM PST

Rumors of a 3G iPhone coming out in June have been around for a while...now Fortune makes the unsubstantiated report that AT&T (NYSE: T) plans to subsidize the device to the tune of $200, bringing the price down to $199 for people in two-year contracts. If this happens it indicates that AT&T thinks iPhone users have an ARPU sufficiently high enough to subsidize the handset whilst paying a share of the revenue to Apple.

So all you guys post are rumours now? There’s no point if you’re not bringing anything new. I like you better when you’re reporting real content.

This is very good news , but , I feel like the only way this would happen is if the phone is severely gimped in other ways (limited to 8 GB model)......oh well ...selling off my old iphone before its price bottoms ...gonna buy new iphone from http://www.buy-3g-iphone/
