AT&T’s MediaFlo Service Delayed Again

By Rafat Ali - Sun 17 Feb 2008 03:56 PM PST

AT&T’s (NYSE: T) delayed mobile TV service using Qualcomm’s (NSDQ: QCOM) MediaFlo service has been delayed again. It was supposed to be launched by end of last year, then delayed to Jan-Feb time frame this year, and now may be delayed again by anywhere from two to eight weeks, reports RCR, citing sources. The launch at CES got delayed again due to all kinds of issues, and now the company may be scrambling to make the big announcement at CTIA Wireless show in Las Vegas, which start April 1 this year.

AT&T is planning to launch the service with at least two exclusive channels more than what’s available on Verizon’s (NYSE: VZ) MediaFlo service, which has been in operation since March last year.
