Bango Adds Mobile Audience Research To Its Payment Products

Bango, which is mainly known for its mobile payment services, is now augmenting that function with a new research tool. The company tells us that its Bango Analytics service can measure the effectiveness of a mobile marketing campaign. While recording users’ behavior - anonymously, Bango (AIM: BGO) insists - across a global collection of mobile sites, it presents details of traffic patterns by examining what viewers are clicking on when visiting a particular site. Aside from counting the number of uniques and the specific content users are heading to, Bango’s analysis also identifies what kinds of phones are being used to navigate a site, what countries they’re based in and what search terms led them there. From that point, it calculates the return on investment. The service is free to current Bango customers; others can try for no charge for one month.
