Fast And Rakuten Partner For Japanese Mobile Search

Japanese internet service company Rakuten has formed a joint venture with search company Fast Search & Transfer to develope mobile search and advertising services in Japan...Rakuten FAST Mobile Search will be an equal joint venture with total capital and capital reserve of 800 million yen (US$6.9 million). “Mobile search services will initially be rolled out to Rakuten mobile sites this year, and subsequently be offered to third parties on an OEM basis, according to officials,” reports BizJournals. Rakuten has a customer base of 38 million members. (release)
