-- Oberon Media: Oberon Media, which develops casual games for multiple platforms including PCs and mobile phones, said today that Don Ryan, the company’s SVP of publishing has been promoted to COO. In addition, it appears Oberon’s EVP Ezra Kucharz was let go as part of Oberon’s ongoing restructuring, reports Silicon Alley Insider. Prior to Oberon, Kucharz was COO of iVillage; and before that SVP-digital innovation at NBC Universal (NYSE: GE). Prior to joining Oberon in 2006, Ryan was at Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT), where he led its cross-platform casual-games strategy.
-- Mobile Marketing Association: After serving as president for about three years, Laura Marriott will resign later this year to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities. The MMA said its board will immediately start an executive search with the help of Diversified Search Ray & Berndtson. Marriott is expected to see the association through the transition period and will then assume President Emeritus position on the MMA Global Board of Advisors. Tom Daly, the North American Chairman, and Group Manager of The Coca-Cola Company said: “We are disappointed to see her leave but support her in her goals to pursue personal interests.”
