Updated: Jamba COO Lee Fenton Leaves, Replaced By Kaj Hagros

By Rafat Ali - Thu 22 May 2008 08:06 AM PST

Update: Jamster COO Lee Fenton will be succeeded by Kaj Hagros, an Airwide Solutions VP, at the start of July. Jamster (via emailed release) said Englishman Fenton “has decided to return to London at the end of June to pursue other opportunities and join his family on a full-time basis.” Mauro Montanaro, who got the CEO job Fenton had fancied: “Lee has been an invaluable asset to Jamster and a driving force ... we’re grateful for his many important contributions.”

Nokia (NYSE: NOK) alum Hagros came to mobile service infrastructure maker Airwide in its November acquisition of First Hop, a Finnish company for which he had run the Singapore-based Asia-Pacific office - a region Montanaro had worked for Nokia.

Original: The News Corp-majority owned mobile content venture Jamba (fka Jamster in U.S.) has seen another senior executive leave, after Lucy Hood left last year. Lee Fenton, the COO who had hoped to become the CEO, but never did, has left the company, reports ME. Fenton had moved last year from LA to Berlin, where the company is now based...he initially joined from Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) in Feb last year.
