Mobile Content Bits: AT&T-EA; Moblog Relaunch; MTV-uclick

— AT&T (NYSE: T) Gets EA’s Spore Origins: AT&T and Electronic Arts (NSDQ: ERTS) have struck a deal to bring the gaming giant’s Spore Origins title to both the carrier’s wireless and broadband customers. The game has been designed specifically for mobiles and will be available on exclusively on AT&T Wireless until September 4. New customers to AT&T’s high-speed internet services, meanwhile, will get a free PC copy of the game. Spore Origins goes on general release on September 7, when it will be available to other carriers (release).
—Moblog Relaunches: UK mobile blogging start-up Moblog has relaunched with a slew of features in an aim to become the “Wordpress” of the mobile world. One of the more interesting features is the ability to geotag incoming text messages. But as TechCrunch UK notes, there’s a slight issue with Moblog’s new direction—what happens to it when Wordpress mobilizes itself?
-- MTV Networks (NYSE: VIA) inks content distribution deal with uclick: MTV Networks’ content will be distributed on mobile and online through a new partnership with uclick digital entertainment. Wallpapers, animations, themes and videos from Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, Spike and VH1 will all be made available for mobile phones and the PC through the deal. (Release.) All of MTV Networks personalization products—wallpapers, themes, video screensavers and more for the U.S. market—will be produced and distributed exclusively by uclick on all the major carriers and a few portals. uclick distributes content, particularly comic strips and cartoons, to wireless carriers and consumer and news web portals.
