—Fox Business Signs on to MobiTV: Another content licensing deal for MobiTV--this time with Fox Business Network (release).
— Bell Canada Offers Up HBO TV Shows: Candian telephone company Bell Canada has begun offering its mobile phone subscribers full episodes of TV shows from HBO, following a deal with the cable TV network. According to the Hollywood Reporter, subscribers can now view on demand episodes of The Sopranos, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Sex and the City, Tell Me You Love Me, and stand-up comedy shows for CAN $10 ($9.75) a month plus data charges. A dubbed French version will launch in May.
—VH1 Mobile Launches Chat Application: MTV Network’s VH1is launching a mobile chat application called “VH1 Watch and Discuss Live Chat,” that will let viewers chat to one another on the channels programming. The programming chat rooms will be tied to VH1’s on-air schedule. VH1 Mobile plans to offer celebrity-hosted chat rooms with VH1’s on air talent (release).
