-- Myxer Goes To The UK: Ad-supported mobile content firm Myxer has launched their European operations with a UK version of their site. The site includes ringtones, wallpapers, videos and images and also allows users to create their own content and upload it to their mobile phones. In the US, they claim to have some 4.5 million users who access some 10 million downloads a month. Myxer has named Ian England MD of the UK operations. He plans to expand the site’s offerings with more content from UK-based bands and labels (Release.)
-- Buongirono Launches Cube: Ringtone and mobile content D2C firm Buongiorno (BIT: BNG) has launched a subscription ringtone service called Cube for Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) Italia. It includes a weekly MMS newsletter. (PDF Release.)
-- Vringo Gets Cartoon Network and Adult Swim Clips: Video ringtone sharing firm Vringo and Turner Broadcasting System Europe have struck a deal to let Vringo subscribers download clips from Turner’s Cartoon Network and Adult Swim as video ringtones. When a call is placed, the video clip appears on the recipient’s phone screen as a video ringtone, or “Vringo.” (Release.)
-- Hallmark Channel: The Hallmark Channel has chosen to go with Limbo’s lowest-unique-bid service for its first mobile promotion, for the made-for-TV movie The Good Witch. The person with the lowest unique bid will win $2000 and some movie memorabilia. (Release.)
