NBC Taps Starcut To Build Olympics Mobile Website: With the Olympics kicking off tomorrow, I doubt it’s just getting started today, but NBC announced that its mobile website for Olympics coverage will be built by Starcut, a company that’s made deals with at least 25 major brands since it got off the ground in 2000. The NBC mobile Olympics site will include live news, results, schedules and breaking coverage of all things. Mobile users will also gain access to video highlights, daily polls and the ability to sign up for alerts. (Release).
New England Patriots Give Quattro Wireless The Nod For Team’s Mobile Content Distribution: The New England Patriots, who now face a Brett Favre-equipped New York Jets in their division, signed a partnership with Quattro Wireless to develop a mobile website for Patriots-related content. The site will give fans breaking news, video clips, podcasts, in-game tracker and NFL mobile. The site’s ad sales will also be exclusively managed by Quattro. (Release).
Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) Integrates More Mobile Components Into Fantasy Football: Just as pre-season gets underway, Yahoo announced some new features that fantasy football users will gain access to on a new mobile version of the popular site. Fantasy football fans can now manage their teams, receive player news, injury information and make roster changes via mobile, however real-time game-day updates will still require a $10 one-time StatTracker subscription.
