Mobile Content Bits: Sega Mobile Game Line-Up; NewBay and O2; Cars.com; QuickPlay’s Ad-Funded Video

-- SEGA Mobile: The company announced a portfolio of new games today that includes both original titles and licensed brands. Some of the titles include: Sonic at the Olympic Games; SEGA Columns Deluxe; Beijing 2008 – The Official Mobile Phone Game of the Olympic Games; Samba de Amigo; Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and Crazy Taxi.

-- NewBay Software partners with O2 UK: Newbay, the Dublin developer of T-Mobile’s popular MyFaves service, said today it will be adding features to O2 UK’s Bluebook service, which lets users store mobile content such as photos, videos and messages online. The live service is free for O2 UK subscribers at www.o2.co.uk/bluebook. New features include: message backup, blogging capabilities to allow users to publish online; personalization tools to add skins to bluebook pages; integration to the O2 portal address book; and moderation tools to ensure that only proper content is displayed.

-- Cars.com goes mobile: Cars.com today said it re-launched its mobile site, so that consumers can access car prices from their phones while in a sales lot. The site was developed by Crisp Wireless. In addition to prices, they’ll have new and used car listings and details on cars, including photos. The site will also have access to Kelley Blue Book and a calculator for payments. Often times, people consider mobile sites that assist shopping to be baby steps towards mobile commerce, but the day people buy a car on their phones seems far off.

-- QuickPlay and Amobee: QuickPlay Media, a mobile TV and video company, and Amobee Media Systems, a mobile advertising company, said today they are teaming up to offer ad-supported mobile video to operators. Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) Italy’s FreeVideo service will be the first customer with 3G subscribers having access to local and branded video content. The service will use information from the user’s profile and some context to provide more relevant advertising. The two companies will also report key metrics, such as ads watched back to the advertiser.
