Motorola CTO To Leave
By James Quintana Pearce - Tue 04 Dec 2007 01:09 AM PST
High-profile Motorola (NYSE: MOT) CTO Padmasree Warrior has left the company—there are individual CTOs for each of Motorola’s businesses who will continue in their respective roles, and Rich Nottenburg, Motorola’s chief strategy officer, will become responsible for Motorola’s overall leadership. Motorola spokeswoman Jennifer Erickson said that the move was planned several months ago. “This is the final step in redefining the CTO responsibilities and is entirely consistent with the direction we outlined several months ago”, reports InfoWorld. It did come as a surprise to a lot of people, and of course is inevitably linked to the departure of Moto CEO Ed Zander.
