Nordic mobile marketing firm More Mobile Relations has acquired the 6-year old Swedish mobile marketing company 12snap-Lokomobil for an undisclosed sum. The company, founded by Norwegian operator Telenor, has been on a buying spree in its bid to turn itself into the region’s leading mobile marketing firm. In March 2008, More Mobile Relations bought Active Loop Marketing in Norway and N’volve in Denmark, taking its total employee count to over 30—which it says makes it the largest mobile marketer in the region.
12Snap has a bunch of history...it was first supposed to be bought by U.S. mobile marketing rollup firm Neomedia, which as we know, didn’t end well. In April last year, it was sold back to the company’s management and Bernd M. Michael, a former shareholder, at a total purchase price of just under $5 million. Some trivia: one of the co-founders of 12Snap, Cyriac Roeding, was till recently the head honcho of wireless at CBS (NYSE: CBS).
