Savia Capital Innovacion Invests In Mobile Content Technology Firm mmChannel

Telefonica-backed Spanish VC Savia Capital Innovacion has taken a minority stake in Madrid-based mobile technology firm mmChannel for an undisclosed amount. The four-year old company provides mobile and online media and music platforms and white label content services for customers including mobile networks Vodafone (NYSE: VOD), Telenor and KPN. mmChannel plans to use the funding to broaden their service portfolio and to seek out new opportunities with mobile operators and record labels. The company also plans to expand into Africa, Asia and Latin America. mmChannel recently opened a Dubai office (release).
