Two Thirds Of People Disinterested In Mobile Music: Report

By James Quintana Pearce - Mon 14 Apr 2008 04:41 PM PST

A survey from JupiterResearch has found that 66 percent of respondents of the more 1,800 respondents to a survey on mobile music said that “nothing is likely to spur them into paying for music on a phone”. Of those willing to buy music, 28 percent are interested in ringtones and 14 percent are interested in full track downloads reports Electronista. The culprits for the lack of interest are the same as always—a general unwillingness to pay more than 99 cents per track, the difficulty in finding and downloading music and copyright restrictions which prevent tracks from being copied to PCs.
