Verizon Sponsors Reality TV Show, Gets Content

Verizon Wireless has joined Ford in sponsoring a reality film-making competition, On the Lot, produced by Fox Interactive Media. As well as the SMS voting component (which will only be available to Verizon Wireless customers and will be run by Telescope, which handles the American Idol system which is doing well) Verizon will also get “exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the show, including outtakes, contestant bios and more than 40 original short films to be featured on the show...The carrier is also sponsoring an online moviemaking challenge tied to the show. The grand-prize winner’s short film will be featured on Vcast Video”, reports RCR News.

The sponsors products will also be integrated into the show, which is being produced by Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks Television.
