By James Quintana Pearce - Wed 24 Oct 2007 03:44 PM PST

Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) president Susan Decker has promised “a number of announcements in the months ahead, even days and weeks” concerning a series of partnerships with mobile carriers in Asia reports Reuters. The countries mentioned—Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Malaysia—have some of the region’s highest mobile penetration rates...in fact in the world, Hong Kong has 1,245 phones per 1,000 people putting it the second highest mobile penetration in the world, according to Nationmaster.
