DoCoMo To Launch Improved Mobile Search Later This Year

By Sahad PV - Fri 02 Jun 2006 10:06 AM PST

Japan’s NTT DoCoMo will introduce an improved search engine functionality for mobile phones later this year. It will enable cellphone users to surf the Internet as if using a PC. This was stated by Masao Nakamura, the president of DoCoMo. He suggested it was likely that search engines from both Google and Yahoo would play a key role in this search functionality. DoCoMo rival KDDI Corp. had earlier this month said it would offer Google’s search engine on its mobile phones.
