Facebook is planning to launch a mobile version of its Facebook Connect service this fall, starting with the iPhone because the company has been contacted by a number of developers asking for that, reports GigaOM. Other platforms will follow. “Instead of just technical protocols, the company is going to give out the entire code so people can drop it into their applications and have consistency with Facebook’s own mobile applications.” This could potentially mean that applications which are currently static will get a social aspect, and Facebook applications could maket he jump to mobile.
