InvenSense Gets $11 Million In Second Round Funding

Motion sensing specialist InvenSense has received $11 million in a second round of funding reports MobileIndustryBiz...participants in the round included existing investors Artiman Ventures and Partech International, along with the investment division of Qualcomm. InvenSense uses gyroscopic technology for sensing motion, and currently supplies this to some digital camera manufacturers (for image stabilization). The injection of funds will be used to expand this technology to mobile handsets and gaming consoles, as well as to build a broader infrastructure to handle demand for millions of units per month.
