More MySpace: Helio Deal Stands; Version 2.0 Launching Early Next Year

By Rafat Ali - Sun 17 Dec 2006 10:31 PM PST

Despite Cingular claiming that the MySpace Mobile deal is exclusive to it, the social network’s year-old deal will continue on Helio. The MVNO is set to launch MySpace Mobile v.2 by early next year...will be a downloadable application on the device which will be up to 5x faster than the original, the company says.Other points: the Helio-MySpace client/service is free. Cingular is $2.99 per month.
My guess: the Helio’s MySpace is built by Helio. The Cingular client might have been built primarily by MySpace so they can claim exclusivity on the official client.
