Sirius On Mobile Video

By James Quintana Pearce - Thu 27 Apr 2006 11:05 PM PST

The proposed Sirius mobile video service will be live rather than a cached service, where a user would download the content to storage to view later. “We want the consumer to have some live TV channels in the back seat. Your kid is watching Disney or Nickelodeon [in the home] and you go into the car and pick it up, right in the car,” said Mel Karmazin. He said it was going to be “live relevant broadcasting”, not something that could be replicated on a DVD.
